தனியார் போக்குவரத்து பஸ் உரிமையாளர்களின் அச்சுறுத்தல்களுக்கு அடிபணியப் போவதில்லை!
எவ்வித முன்னறிவித்தலுமின்றி வேலைநிறுத்தத்தில் ஈடுபடும் பஸ் வண்டிகளின் போக்குவரத்து அனுமதிப்பத்திரம் ரத்து செய்யப்படுமென தனியார் போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சர் சி.பீ.ரத்னாயக்க தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
பயணிகளின் உரிமைகளை மீறும் விதத்தில் செயற்பட அனுமதி வழங்க முடியாது முறையற்ற விதத்தில் செயற்படும் பஸ் வண்டிகள் கடும் விளைவுகளை எதிர்கொள்ள நேரிடும் தனியார் போக்குவரத்து பஸ் உரிமையாளர்களின் அச்சுறுத்தல்களுக்கு அடிபணியப் போவதில்லை எனவும் தேவையேற்படின் புதிய அனுமதிப்பத்திரங்களும் வழங்கப்படுமென அமைச்சர் சி.பி.ரத்னாயக்க குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
பயணிகளுக்கு சிறந்த சேவை வழங்குவது பஸ் உரிமையாளர்களின் பொறுப்பாகும். இதேவேளை கம்பனி சட்டத்தின் கீழ் பஸ் சங்கங்கள் தம்மை பதிவு செய்துள்ளனவா என்பது தொடர்பில் விசாரணை நடாத்தி அறிக்கை சமர்ப்பிக்குமாறும் அமைச்சர், அமைச்சின் செயலாளருக்கு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்.
சொகுசு பஸ் சேவைகள் தொடர்பில் காணப்படும் பிரச்சினைகளை தீர்ப்பது தொடர்பாகவும் கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. தனியார் மற்றும் இலங்கை போக்குவரத்து சபை இணைந்த கூட்டு நேர அட்டவணைக்கமைய பஸ் சேவையை நடாத்தவும் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
எந்தவொரு சந்தர்ப்பத்தின் போதும் பயணிகளின் நலனுக்கே முன்னுரிமை வழங்கப்படுமெனவும் அமைச்சர் சி.பீ.ரத்னாயக்க மேலும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Why not the Government hand over CTB to private bus companies and abolish the rotten mini bus service,which does a very inconvenience services to the commuters,heavely packed,dirty
and uncontrollable speed limits unusual behaviour of the conductors etc etc.The private bus companies defnitely can do good servies to the commuters.Like the good old days southern bus company,silver line bus co Maddhyma Lanka bus company,jaffna central bus company and so on.They were doing a fine job to the entire commuters of Srilanka
It is better to follow the transport system of western countries,what a meaningful pretty and descent bus services.The bus driver does the conductor`s job too.Why not the minister of transport
and his team visit the western countries and adopt the transport system and introduce it
in Srilanka.Please do not remain in the dark ages 0r stone age.
Hope this Government would do some dramtic changes in the transport systems of Srilanka.
