கட்சி மாறமாட்டேன் என முசம்மில் சத்தியக் கடதாசி. தமிழ் வேட்பாளர்களும் செய்வார்களா?

ஐக்கிய தேசிய முன்னணியில் கொழும்பு மாவட்டத்தில் போட்டியிடும் வேட்பாளரான ஏ.ஜே.எம் முஸம்மில் அவர்கள் இன்று ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் மத்தியில், இரு சட்டத்தரணிகள் முன்னிலையில் தான் தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற்றபின்னர் கட்சி தாவமாட்டேன் என சத்தியக் கடதாசி ஒன்றில் கையொப்பம் இட்டுள்ளார்.

அங்கு ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் மத்தியில் பேசிய அவர், கட்சிகளில் போட்டியிட்டு இறுதியில் கட்சி மாறுவதானது வாக்காளப்பெருமக்களை ஏமாற்றும் பெரும் நயவஞ்சகம் எனவும், இது உலகில் இடம்பெறும் குற்றங்களில் பெரும் குற்றமாக தான் கருதுவதாகவும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ஐக்கிய தேசியக் முன்னணியில் போட்டிடும் அனைவரும் கட்சி மாறமாட்டோம் என சத்தியக் கடதாசிகளை கொடுத்துள்ள நிலையில் குறிப்பிட்ட இச்சத்தியக்கடதாசி மக்கள் முன்னிலையில் வழங்கப்பட்டதன் நோக்கம் என்ன என ஊடகவியலாளர் ஒருவர் கேட்டபோது, கட்சியில் போட்டியிடும் அனைவரும் கட்சி மாறமாட்டோம் என கட்சியின் தலைமைக்கு கடிதம் கொடுத்துள்ளது உண்மை. அக்கடிதத்தின் ஊடாக கட்சி சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்கள் மீது ஒழுக்காற்று நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுக்க முடியும். ஆனால் நான் இன்று வழங்கியுள்ள சத்தியக் கடதாசி மக்களுக்கானது, நான் கட்சி தாவினால் எனக்கு வாக்களித்த மக்களில் எவரும் எனக்கு எதிராக நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க முடியும் எனவும் தெரிவித்தார்.

இவ்விடயம் அரசியல் நயவஞ்சகங்களை தடுப்பதற்கான சிறந்த முன்னெடுப்பாக கருதப்படுகின்றது. இதே வழிமுறையை தமிழ் கட்சிகளில் போட்டியிடும் வேட்பாளர்களும் கடைபிடிக்கவேண்டும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகின்றது.

சத்தியக் கடதாசியின் முழுவடிவம்.

The text of the affidavit in full:

I, Ahamed Jamaldeen Mohamed Muzammil of No. 7, Alfred House Road, Colombo 03, holder of National Identity Card bearing No. 490051929V being a Muslim do hereby solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm and state as follows:-

1. I am the Affirmant abovenamed and voluntarily affirm to the matters hereinafter set out of my own free will.

2. I have been nominated and my name appears in the list of candidates forwarded by the United National Party for the Colombo District to contest the General Elections in April 2010.

3. I am, and I have always been a strong follower and supporter of the United National Party, which is a fact well known among the voting public of the Colombo District.

4. I was elected to the Western Provincial Council at the last elections as a candidate from the United National Party having received overwhelming support from the voters of the Colombo District and members of the United National Party.

5. In view of my fearlessness to speak out against corruption and abuse, my steadfast strength to stand for what is right and sincere dedication and service to the United National Party, I am confident that I will be elected to the next Parliament by the voters of the Colombo District who are supporters of the United National Party and its Policies.

6. I state categorically that I shall always safeguard the trust and confidence placed in me and the United National Party by the voting public when they exercise their votes on my behalf.

7. I also state that I shall not be swayed by any offer of position or reward politically or otherwise to cross over from the United National Party after the elections and shall stand firm in my commitment to represent the people who elected me from the United National Party.

8. I consider the crossing over from one party to another the highest form of treachery and fraud that is practiced on the voting public of Sri Lankaand is an act of moral cowardice.

9. I undertake that I will always represent the United National Party and support its policies collectively with the other elected members of the United National Party.

10. I state that under no circumstances will I directly or indirectly do or commit any act which will harm or damage the trust and confidence placed in me by the voters and the United National Party in electing me to Parliament.

11. I state without reservation that I will relinquish my sear in Parliament if I abandon the trust and confidence placed by the voters and supporters of the United National Party. Any member of the voting public or the United National Party is entitled to use this Affidavit or a copy thereof to move a Court of competent jurisdiction to have me removed from Parliament should I cross over to represent another party in the next parliament.

12. I state that I make this pledge to the voters of the Colombo District and undertake to abide by all the matters contained herein.
